Storytelling embodies the very fabric of our lives. In fact, there is an argument to be made that human civilization itself was spawned on the premise of storytelling.

The digital realm is overly populated with everyone selling something. To truly separate your brand from others, you have to create a connection with your followers.

Connections are what creates brand loyalty and loyalty is what ultimately determines how vested customers feel about your product or service. One essential way to build this connection is by telling your brand’s story.

So what does storytelling have to do with your business? Everything! If you can’t properly convey your company’s story then your very nature for doing business will never appeal to your audience. If you don’t know your story, how will they?

The best way to tell a story? There are several ways to tell your business’ story – eBooks, blogs, newsletters, etc – but being a content creator via Fusion Photography, my favorite way to tell a story is through a video anthem.

Let’s take a look at the video marketing process…

DISCOVERY:

During discovery, we attempt to better understand the following:

1.Who is your customer?

2. What does your customer value?

3. What problem are you solving?

Our objective is to hone in on that thin slice of “customer” that is most ready to hear and respond to your particular message because nobody buys what you sell, they purchase what is of value to them – and then devise a concept that fits that niche.

STORYBOARD:

Storyboards help us plan the video production flow from start to finish. Lighting, Angles, Voiceovers, Dialogue, Theme, Music, etc.

Every concept is validated and vetted by a comprehensive graphic representation of how each video will be told shot by shot. Each concept is scrutinized and reviewed and approved before production begins.

PRODUCTION:

Bringing it all together on set.

The meetings are over, the preparation is complete. Now, it’s time to have some fun! The production phase is where you capture all the interviews and footage for your video. This is the part where the story begins to come to life.

The production phase is where all the raw materials for your video will be captured. If you have specific visions, ideas, or visuals that you want to be included in the final product, be sure that you have clearly communicated that with your producer before the end of the production phase.
